Biography
I was born and raised on a farm with working German Shepherds, so knowing the form and function of a breed was learned at an early age. Started out in conformation with my first Golden Retriever in 1986. Bred Goldens under the prefix of Leilani Golden Retrievers. Currently in partnership breeding Clumber Spaniels, Tricklecreek Clumber Spaniels. Was also involved in the breeding program of many a Chinese Sharpei and Boxers of a family member and close friend. Have showed and bred my own BIS dogs but am extremely proud of having a successful professional handling career for close to 35 years. As a member of the Canadian Professional Handlers Association I had many career highlights campaigning many dogs to not only #1 breed standings, but #1 all-breed group standing and multiple Top Ten all-breed dogs. Retired from handling in 2024 and moved across the country to Nova Scotia to be near my new grand daughter and am looking forward to new adventures and my path as CKC judge.
