Have bred and exhibited many notable Welsh Terriers in both Canada and the US, and sold dogs that did very well in many countries around the world (England, Denmark, Australia, Brazil, Ireland, Germany).
While I consider myself a terrier specialist, I have always been interested in learning about all-breeds.
I groom the dogs that I show. I have owner-handled many of my top winners in both Canada and the US, and almost always show one of my own dogs at Montgomery. I also work with professional handlers as I can't always get to shows that I want my dogs at.
I have participated in the Montgomery County Kennel Club week of shows every year since I began. While in attendance, I have always taken an active interest in watching other breeds, and talking with breed specialists. The 3 preceding days to Montgomery are huge all-breed shows. In addition to Montgomery weekend, I have attended many of the large US shows, and taken an interest in watching many breeds, including the shows in Orlando FL, Long Beach CA, Louisville KY, Sacramento CA, Portland OR, Westminster KC, Morris & Essex (every one!).
I have always taken an active educational approach to general conformation study. I have attended many seminars over the decades (in both Canada and US), as well as watching large competitive entries of various breeds, and talking with successful breeders. My goal is to continue learning as much as I can in the purebred dog fancy.
I love to give back and help others where I can. I have provided seminars on my breed, as well as taught the art of hand stripping to many people over the years.
