Biography
I have been involved in purebred dog for over 30 years. I am a Lifetime Canadian Kennel Club Member. With Pierre Talbot, we have been breeding and exhibiting American cocker spaniels under the Kebec’s prefix. I will always cherish the moment when I handled my dog Calif - Ch. Kebec’s Californian Trader ROM-HT, LOM-HT, LVP-HT - to Best Veteran. That was at ASC in January 2010. Most of our dogs are Canadian and American champions and some are FCI International Champions and FCI World winners. I'm proud that our Cockers have won the Canadian National 3 times; 3 different dogs from the 3 varieties and over 3 decades. I own and maintain Cockers.com / Cockers-worldwide.com, the Online Pedigree Database with over 190,000 American cocker spaniels from all over the world. I served on the Canadian Kennel Club Communications Committee, continuing to be involved advancing the interests of purebred dogs. I'm a member of the Canadian Dog Judges Association (CDJA) and was for 9 years the Editor of the CDJA Quarterly Newsletter. I also wrote articles for Dog Magazines in Canada and the USA. I’m also member of various breed clubs. After working all my life in the media, specifically in Television Broadcast as National News TV Director (TVA Network) in Canada and in Germany, my journey brings me now to consider judging as another aspect of the dog show scene. I judge all Sporting, Toys and Non-Sporting breeds (100 breeds) and Best In Show. I have been invited to judge in the USA at specialties and all breed shows including the prestigious Flushing Show of the American Spaniel Club (ASC).
