Biography
I am willing to judge Rare Breed Shows. Seminars in Smooth Fox Terriers • Retired hospital administrator, Manager of the Regional Trauma Program at a large teaching hospital in London, Ontario, Canada. I currently reside on the largest freshwater island in the world, Manitoulin Island. • I have been involved in the sport of purebred dogs since 1976. • In the past, I have bred and showed Irish Setters and Smooth Fox Terriers – Irish Setters under the Ballyboy prefix and SFT under both the Ballyboy prefix and Fauxpaw prefix (litters co-bred with my good friends and fellow judges, Joe & Janet Lobb) • My dogs were owner handled most of the time with consistent success – achieving #2 SFT in Canada, Best in Group and Best in Show wins. • I have also owned and showed a Keeshond and Pointers. Currently my husband and I share our home with two Miniature Wire-haired Dachshunds. • I began judging in 1997 and in 2017 became licensed by the Canadian Kennel Club to judge All Breeds. • I am a member of the Canadian Dog Judges Association and was the founding secretary of that organization holding the position for almost 10 years; I have also served on the Board as a Director at large. • Memorable past judging assignments include the Ontario All Pointing Breed Specialty Show, Brittany Club of Canada Specialty Show, Chesapeake Bay Retriever Club of Canada Specialty Show, Belgian Shepherd Dog Regional Specialty Show, Rideau Terrier Club, Samoyed Club of New South Wales Specialty Show. I have judged internationally in Australia (New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia).
