Biography
Dominique Firetto has been active in the world of purebred dogs since 1994. He began his career in France, where he bred and exhibited Siberian Huskies under the Sheytan’s Beauty kennel name (FCI) from 1996 to 2008. Since relocating to Canada in 2008, he has continued his breeding and exhibiting activities under the Trinacria kennel name (CKC), maintaining a consistent focus on the preservation of breed type, sound temperament, and functional structure. Over the years, he has bred, owned, and exhibited several breeds, including the Siberian Husky, Japanese Akita, Dogo Argentino, and Xoloitzcuintli (Toy variety), both in Canada and internationally. His extensive experience in breeding and exhibiting has contributed to a solid understanding of breed standards, construction, and movement. His interest in judging developed naturally from his hands-on experience as a breeder and exhibitor, with particular attention to fair, consistent, and standard-based evaluation. He was approved as a conformation judge in 2022. Dominique Firetto judges regularly in Canada and Europe and remains committed to ongoing education through observation, continued learning, and exchange with fellow judges. He views judging as a responsibility toward the breeds, the exhibitors, and the future of purebred dogs.
